Discovering yaoi

How did you guys come across yaoi? What were your first thoughts?

Personally ai thought it was weird and kind of gross. I was 14 and had alot of internalized homophobia so I think it led me to think that people from the lgbt+ are weird and kind of disgusting. Of course I don't think like that anymore! I'm 20 now and a proud member of the LGBT+ community!

I discovered yaoi 4 years ago and I was more interested in Shoujo at that time. I was scrolling on YouTube and came across a video that Said 'Top ten best anime couples of all time' and Shuuichi and Yuki from gravitation were in it.
