My parents have this very weird mindset that if you arrive too early at a party, it means you're desperate and cheap, so they would deliberately arrive late, even to weddings lmao. As a kid, I wasn't even allowed to go to a friend's bday party early, when all of my other friends would arrive like 2 hrs prior to help with the decor, really hate this......
