Cosplayers as actors

Shion Shion 2024-10-21 21:13:33 About question
Imo I think cosplayers can be better actors than actual actors for a live action. For example mp100 live action was straight up dogshit cuz almost nothing was like in the anime nor the manga and if smth did come from the anime it was just a random moment like it was nothing and I basically couldn't get through it. And I've seen so many cosplayers be better in character on social media. So why can't they just hire them or at least send them a message or smth idk. Do they need to have a degree? The only series that I accept is Alice in Borderland cuz it's actually made fucking good.
That's it about me complaining

changing actual actors to cosplayers wouldn't do anything at all, if anything it might make things worse because you are spending a limited budget training people who don't even know how to act and need to be taught industry standards. time is money.

the issue with live action is 1) they don't have enough of a budget to do any actual special effects 2) anime jokes don't always translate (mostly don't) translate well to live actions at all 3) anime as a media form has too much flexibility whereas live action has too little flexible, it'd be like trying to pour water into a cup that is already filled 4) most live action just aren't faithful to the source

if you can fix these four issues, it doesn't matter who does the acting tbh... by then we'd be cherry picking out of a heaping pile of trash that is already burning.
