How to interact with people?
Im in my first year of uni and I feel like no matter how much I try to be straightforward with my intent of non-threatening people are always assuming the worst of me. I'll try to keep this brief and just address the main outline:
I'm doing a group project and I was trying to give some constructive criticism and one of my team members started accusing me big time of devaluing their work and being narcissistic.
I cannot stress enough how much I don't care about trying to attack you OR your work. I just want to know if you need help bc personally I couldn't make heads or tails of your section. Literally just want a good grade and this team just wants to submit the project the second everyone has something down without doing any discussion.
Honestly, trying to get some insight because I feel like this always happens. I have some decent achievements to my name but I feel like bringing that up out of the blue would REALLY make me narcissistic. How do I build rapport with people in these scenarios? What should I do overall?
nobody likes criticism, most people won't accept criticism from someone on the same 'level' as they are.
if you don't care what you think about what they think of you then do it in a roundabout way (like in my image below). you don't need to say it to their faces. just delete all their work and give plausible reason for the change.
