I hate the "Female characters aren't well written" bullshit, I bet these same people would absolutely love a female character if she was a man. How many times I've seen people liking a male character who's a rapist, asshole, and overall just a horrible human being? And they excused it with "But he changed!!!" bs. Are these female characters not well written enough for you or you just don't like them? Lol. People would hate a female character and used this excuse to justify it, be for real. At least be outright with your hate and not use some bullshit excuse.
No, not all of them are disinterested on female characters, that's just you. Y'all are TOO overly critical towards female characters and end up not liking them either way. Why not give the same energy to your male characters? Can you actually read a story without liking or favoring a single male character in a story? And just have one or two female character you like instead?
Some of you based your opinion on only the limited form of literatures you read (e.g manga, manhwa and manhua), and I can really tell because there's a LOT of female characters on stories that are soooo good and yet people would still have that claim. And please, don't flower your words with "But the media is unfavorable to female characters!" when there's a lot of female or otherwise authors that are trying to diverge from it.

It's good to criticize all characters as part of forming critical evaluations. IMO there's nothing wrong with the mixed views if they're constructive and less pratonizing.
Sure, but I simply said that people are overly TOO critical on female characters compared to their male counterpart. Of course it's good to criticize all characters, why wouldn't it be? But myself have seen these double standards on criticism towards female characters vs male characters. That's one of the points that I mentioned. The statement I used in quotes is generalized, so many amount of people have said the exact same thing (e.g I just saw a post states that female characters aren't well written so that's why people like BLs instead). Of course there's nothing wrong with criticism but what was my point again? Ah right, that the "Female characters aren't well written" as a general statement is bullshit.
My point heavily relies on the gender of these characters, male and female representing characters specifically. That's why I don't disagree with your point, but I included and specificied the gender of all of these characters in my post. It's good to criticize all characters, yes correct, but would gender play a part of these criticisms?
