"Men can't be friends anymore", "Everything is just gay now" makes me laugh every time cause literature doesn't lack same-gender friendships, like ever. We see friendships between two men or women all the time, especially about men, but you know what we lack? Platonic relationship between men and women in literature. EVEN if they start off as friends, they still would eventually end up in a romantic and sexual relationship because a man and a woman just can't be friends. I can't count on how many comments I see that says: "Poor guy" "So who's falling first?" "Bro is stuck in friend zone" on a TikTok about a man and a woman being friends.

I assure you, your preference of men just being friends in a literature won't ran out, like ever. It will definitely won't vanish into thin air just because someone sees these two men in a romantic relationship. If you want to read romance between a man and a woman, there's an INFINITE AMOUNT OF CHOICES you can choose from. The same goes for your two men being just friends! This behavior is just blatant homophobia, no matter how much they flower their words on how friendship is important too, or we don't need romance everytime, you can tell it's malicious when it's just targeted against queer ships.

It makes me laugh too that people would claim that these queer ships don't have chemistry or interactions yet they are still being shipped, when me as a woman in the real world getting shipped with a man who I don't even interact with and it's still acceptable! It's okay, and cute, and it's just teasing and eventually I'll like him because I'm a fucking woman and he's a fucking man (coming from a woman rarely experience a crush or an attraction).

It pisses me off that suddenly, romantic love is weak and lesser when it comes to queer ships. Where's that fucking energy between men and women then, cause clearly, there's nothing when I'm still affected by it!

So to all people complaining that we're "ruining" platonic bonds between two same gender relationships, why not focus on demanding more platonic relationships between men and women in literature instead.
