This is so true. Even fairy tail - which generally has a problem with sexualizing female characters - has a few instances where the younger characters are.... I don't know. I don't even know if they're sexualized but I feel weird about it.
I can't blame you for feeling this way, because even if that isn't the case, your assumption would be the result the nearly constant fanservice of children in most anime. I sometimes find myself feeling irrationally scared that something inappropriate will happen to the children characters i see in new anime, due to plenty other bad experiences i had.

Because while I have only seen this much child sexualization in anime compared to western media it still isn't a common occurrence imo
I think my main source of trauma was that one manga i read when i was around 15 about a guy that raised a girl like his daughter then ended up dating her. I thought it was going to be a sweet family manga yet they made it creepy. There's also Mushoku Tensei that was also a major disappointment. And in general most shounen manga and anime sexualize not only adult female characters but underage characters as well. There are so many that do this, it'd take me a lot of time to create a list. You're unbelievably lucky you haven't come across many of them. I try not to let it affect me but i still lean more towards Korean manhwa. Of course not to say that those don't also have plenty of problematic content.
