First timer
First time taking melatonin, that shits make me lazy in the morning. My back hurts so much, no my whole body. I feel like I wake up from the dead. (ToT) Is that really the side effect of taking that thing? But I'm taking it again because it give me good sleep *chief kiss

Back when I took melatonin I’d take it an hour earlier than I was going to sleep to prevent the drowsiness in the morning, I never noticed any aches though.
Hi ! Ive been taken melatonin for the past 2 years bc of sleep problems, presumably the same reason as you, but i havent had any body pain/aches nor have i heard of it happening to others. Some common side effects are headaches, daytime sleepiness, dizziness, weird itchy sensation, and irritability but tbh if the pain keeps happening or it gets worse maybe see your doctor or gp :(
Why am I experiencing the side effects without taking the actual thing ヽ(`Д´)ノ
I'm assuming that it was because of my sleeping position. I do gymnastics while sleeping sometimes. I'll try to position my sleep properly and when the aches continues, I guess it's time to consult the doctor ;(
yeah i was thinking that might be the case bc i have siblings w bad sleep positions (she used to literally sleep on her face) n they’ve occasionally had body aches :(
I hope its just a one time thing and you feel better ml !! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I took 5mg of melatonin as a kid for my insomnia, and I had exactly the same experience. A few years later I told my doctor (bc I still have insomnia) and he told me to take 1-3 mg. It works pretty good for me now! I’d try a lower dose, basically. What dose are you taking?
3mg ( ´◡‿◡`).
Ah, I see. I’d try lowering your dose, then. You can even just cut the pill in half, assuming it’s not one of those capsules, I think.
