Why can't I defend yuri smut?
It's about manwha Lover's Hell, and it's just silly trashy erotica about a masochistic housekeeper being a sex slave for two sadistic sisters. It's stupid, but there's a bunch of stupid smut here on mangago, and I actually like this one and I think it's getting too much hate, people saying it should be taken down because it was written by a male?? Like should all yaoi smut written by women (most) be taken down too then??
Anyways, this is what I tried to post over there, first as a comment, then a topic, many times, and it just disappears when I reload the page:
"I'm sorry but I don't get why people hate on this so much? Is it because of m/s and d/s being a big part of it, or is is because it super smutty without much plot? I get that may not be everyone's cup of tee, but you can always find something more fluffy, vanilla and plot heavy, there are many such yuri out there. Asking for it to be taken down is too much, don't yuck someone else's yum. As a horny masochistic lesbian I absolutely love this, and I don't really care if it was a man or a slug who wrote it. Shame Application is pretty much a yaoi version of this and it didn't get nearly as much hate. And I don't really need more plot, my brain hurts enough already."
Like, why? is it offensive of something?
I don't think there's an inherent problem with men writing wlw stories and vice versa. Love is love and sex is sex.
But I also can't shake the icky feeling, knowing there's a man behind it, sexualizing women and an entire sexuality. It gives me the "man in a bar leering at a female same sex couple" or "oh you are lesbians? Can I watch you having se......

I’ve read the other comments and while I do generally agree, I gotta say don’t do too much research into smut…like who cares about the author just enjoy the smut and go. It’s not something we should get political about, especially on an illegal site.
Also while I’ve never read the manhwa in questions, I think sometimes comment sections j......

It could be because of the idea of women not being able to enjoy sex or climax. Depending on the man you ask of course, some of them (I’d like to hope just a vocal minority) are just straight up convinced women can’t climax and don’t derive pleasure from sex despite that being very much false. It reminds me of a twitter(?) post that saw one t......

I'm sure they're not serious about taking it down. And in all fairness, Lover's Hell is pretty mid. (jk jk...)
But like yeah ig it's easier to use social values to justify why stories they don't like should be obliterated versus just saying it's lame or isn't in a premise they prefer, and that culture might be stronger in the GL community. (And Sh......

I read both Gl by men and Gl by women. My problem with the ones that are made by men (mostly) is they never make it romance, they always make the character have sex and then move toward the plot, I know people will say that a good thing to have more focus in the plot, but it's unfair most of shounen/seinen have romance why can't we? why should we o......
