I HATE that weird ass trope. But I LOVEEE tropes where we see adopted siblings getting along like blood related siblings or friends, or when we see adopted child and adoptive parent loving each other (not in a romantic way) and protecting each other and shit. This genuinely sounds disturbing asf as an adopted sibling. I could never think about falling in love with my adoptive "sister." That's a line I would never be able to cross, and even if I did, I would never be able to act on those feelings. tldr: you guys need to learn what the difference between a trope and an author is. Honestly, I find, if the person does it carefully enough and isn't like, saying it's a good thing, then it would actually be a pretty good story.
