FOR ANYONE WHO HAS BRACES

It hurts for around a week (or a bit more in my case) and it'll be sore for a couple days after every adjustment. When it's sore just stick to soft or easy to eat foods. Its better if you don't even need to chew. Mac and cheese, soup, pasta, mashed potatoes, ice cream, anything you can just swallow whole is going to be good. After the pain lessens ......   reply

ive had my braces for about more than a year now! here's what ive experienced so far. when I first got them it HURTTTT like I couldn't even eat potatoes or bread... pain was tolerable though never had to take Tylenol, n hurt for about a week or so. then faded into a more sore kind of pain. if you are struggling with the pain I suggest ice cream......   reply

In my experience, had what felt like a whole-mouth tooth ache for like a week and half and then it calmed down. The sensation of having them in your mouth is super weird at first but you get used to it. Ask your dentist if you're also going to need a retainer after you get the braces off tho, because that was a super unpleasant surprise for me. Min......   reply

The pain will be severe-ish for 2 to 3 days and will start numbing down till u reach a week and u wont feel anything Honestly idek abt foods bc i didnt change much I ate gum nd sticky stuff all the time but I do suggest being careful abt it lolz Dont worry abt damaging the braces while brushing ur teeth just focus on getting every corner of ur teet......   reply

Honestly, don't expect to be able to eat anything at all for like the next 3-5 days. Stock up on soup lol. And follow basically what everyone else is saying, they pretty much sum it up   reply
