Heya, everyone! How you all doing? I am not doing great but that aside. What your thoughts on the future of ai? Do you really think ai will takeover the it or sw jobs?. I mean if ai did all the work. We can lay all day do nothing. If people can't work then they can't buy shit. Which means the rich ( business men's) won't gain money, so how the future will not collapse. I am just bored. I have nothing else to say. Oh and what you all having fro dinner?, I am having rice and curry basic.

The only thing that gen scares me about ai and technology is deepfakes. They can make fake porn with it and it's already being used to spread misinformation. So dangerous. And I'm eating a kind of cauliflower patty with gravy and peas. 4 reply

well tbh, I don't know but when it comes to art like video games or music or movies etc... I think AI will never replace humans because art comes from emotion and passion and also from wanting to see what humans are capable of; art is enjoyable because there is humanity to it if you remove the humanity then there is nothing to it, you will just get...... 1 reply

there is absolutely no reason ai video generators need to exist EVER. when i was imagining the future back in the early 2010s i evisioned aquarium walls and planes flying up to the space not this fucked up hyperconsumptionist hell. i swear we're about 5 years away from some guy making ai contact lenses that lets you watch deepfake porn of random st...... 1 reply

I dont get people placing hope in AI, thinking AI will accomplish great things, literally no. All AI do is imitating everything an human already did, it only use sources already existing for their calculs, it does not generate a TRUELY NEW content/info. I mean right now people are getting fired to only be replaced by ai bcs companies want to cheap out on labor. I literally saw a yt short on how a woman was denied insurance because the ai no. It was for her yearly health check up and they wouldn't change it until the ai said yes. Honestly it's how people use it. Companies cannot expect good results...... 1 reply

Here's my 2cents for ai thingy Ai is bad when used for deepfakes and generated creative works (music, poetry, writing, illustrations arts) But ai benefits some part in the job but mostly, it just does minimal assisting. Humans are still needed to maneuver the job though reply

Ai is already being used to replace artist in various fields(actors, writers, digital artists etc). Generative ai hurts society and has been found to be unethically sourced. Like illegal images in training data, copyrighted media, exploited workers and it harms the environment. Most people know abt the deepfake situation. It’ll probably get worse...... reply

Well I dunno for sure about ai doing all the work since I know just the scratch of both ai and software (is that what sw stands for here?) But if ai really did all the work, people in sw wouldn’t get to lay all day since (unless all of you can keep it a secret,) you’ll just be completely replaced and have to find a new job, it’s called autom...... 2 reply
