Are people actually scared of death??
I see manga/book/movie characters being scared shitless of death, doing anything they can to escape it or cheat it in some way.
Not to be edgy or anything, but unless it's like, the slow agonizing death from an uncurable desease, idgaf.
I'm not into pain, and it's not like I want to die, but it doesn't feel like it's that big of a deal. It happens.
Like, at the slight sign that my life could be over (burning building, lost at sea, held at gunpoint, whatever scenario that would require too much effort in order to survive) I'd just roll over and die.
Because most people have a reason to keep living?? People are afraid of death because it’s in our core to be. The fear of death is what keeps us alive.
Personally, I used to have the same mentality as you and then I got a therapist. Realizing that life is enjoyable and not just something that happens to you is what makes you afraid of losing it......
