am I weird for this?
I was hungry so I scavenged my kitchen for ingredients to make myself some half decent food, found two pieces of bread who looked quite decent so I made myself a peanut butter sandwich, ate it and when I tell you... this was the most mouth watering, scrumptious sandwich I ever had the pleasure of eating in my ENTIRE life, it wasn't thanks to the peanut butter I put on top... no no, no. The bread was what made it so palatable and accomodating to my taste buds, soft, a little chewy, like biting down on a cloud, it had a salty or should I say sour?, almost umami flavor to it, never had I eaten a bread with so much character to it.
Fastforward after it sat in my digestive system for a while, I decided to look at the package to see if it had any different ingredients that the other supermarket ones didn't have, I was a little curious about the expiration date because it kinda is a little quirk of mine to just convince myself I'm superman if I don't die from food poisoning, what do I find the second I lay my eyes upon that wretched date? my sweetheart had gone bad when I wasn't looking, it had expired two weeks prior to my experience. I will truly never forget her. What's so weird about it? you might ask, well, the weird thing: I actually started to think that waiting for bread to spoil is the maximum way someone can enjoy the absolute experience of eating bread. And I will stand by it.
you either on to something or on something

If this was white bread, then it can be eaten 2 weeks after the expiration date if packaged right. If it wasn't...then I hope you have a stomach of steel because that's crazy.

off the topic but why do i hate peanut butter, it tastes horrible for some reason, I've tried every brand and I don't like it, bought an extra expensive one with little pieces of nut in it and it still tasted bad. everyone around me seems to be a peanut butter dick ridder and I hate it. same with a lot of sweet bread spreads, like nuttella or hersh......

Most things are good for a bit after the expiration date. As long as something looks like it's not rotted or molded it should be fine. I buy food from a discount store that has expired items for cheaper. I only get dry goods but Ive never gotten sick from any of it.
