As the title says. Personally, I feel like a lot of the people around me have seen too much overly sensitive topics and drama to even consider something, “non-normal” normal to their standards. One case was where a friend of mine was getting pressured into re-dying her hair so it could make her look “more white”, as in race. To me, that was clearly not cool, but there are people on the internet that would just be like “okay, just be more white then” or “sounds like a skill issue” and genuinely believe that it was my friend’s fault for that.
I dunno man, it’s just kinda crazy to me when I see and hear these things.
To be honest it’s definitely isn’t your or your friend fault

A lot of people on the internet just want to be "funny" and edgy.
Disregarding someone's feelings by making jokes about it, e.g. "sounds like a skill issue" is way to do that. Being vulnerable often is seen as an invitation to stomp on you and make fun of you for that. Like people on the internet HATE oversharing. You will tell like a mildly perso...... reply
