Need advice or hear me rant
So, I took interview for a job. Still haven't gotten the offer though. But the only candidates is me. They said, it's been vacant for a while. It's likely they will offer it to me.
The job has minimum requirements under my degree (I have bachelor, the job requirements is under bachelor but higher than high school). The salary is small because the minimum wage here is pretty low. It still above minimum wage though. Even though, there will be bonus salary too.
My parents are hoping me to get this job too. But they don't know the wages yet.
I've been looking for a job since last year man. I keep getting rejected because I have no experience. I'm a fresh grad, graduated last year. I've been applying for different kind of job all this time, so this one is a bit different. The job I used to apply is more complicated than the one I'm talking about.
Maybe someone has any advice? Should I keep looking for structural engineer vacancy or should I take this job if I get the offering letter? Also, if I take this one, I can't resign until 5 years.
I don't know man. In one side, I've been unemployed for almost a year. I keep looking for a good paid job. But on the other hand, I really need to work at this point.
My thoughts are I take this job and learn stuff online to be a freelancer. I can use the salary to buy better pc and all so I can install more complicated software for freelancing.
Ps: I can't ask on reddit or anything because someone might recognize me there
I don't recommend you take the job with 5 years contract which bind you that you have to pay penalty if resign before the contract.
You're still fresh graduated and had no experience, it means the company could exploit you however they want : no overtime pay, difficult taking paid leave or sick leave, cutting salary without solid reason, no salary......
