Actually I got into yaoi because of a friend, who was into gay stuff. By then I was only a year or so into anime as a whole, but I knew that were gays and lesbians and others of not traditional orientation.
I don't know what was my first yaoi, or how did I get to read it, but it surely was under the influence of that friend, who was sending shoun......
