Why does jinx get the hate it does?
Im not asking for a fandom war or anything, but to genuinely understand. People bash on this manhwa because of how Jaekung is a black flag and that this manwha romanticises abuse for making dan fall in love with him, but the story hasnt even ended yet, leaving on a cliffhanger. I agree with everyone calling Jaekung an assaulter, but another yaoi, Legs That Won't Walk, has the top literally kill a family member, and then assault the bottom, with the author making the ending a cutesy romcom with no punishment for the top, from what i remember.
The fact that Dan resigned from that awful traumatic workplace is a sign that the author doesnt plan on letting jaekung off that easy.
My question is why does everyone hate on jinx in particular, when there are plenty of other yaoi with hot tops that do pretty much worse things to the bottom like even if you dont love me, and even the first half of painter of the night, that seem to go unnoticed. I do admit im a fan of jinx, but mainly because Ive always liked darker romances since i was in school, and its interesting to see people just look for any bl to witchhunt knowing this genre is famous for dark themes in general.
It seems like if someone hates bugs, knows that theres a room in their house that has some spiders, knowingly goes in, and makes a huge deal about the bugs being there, despite being warned beforehand, atleast in my opinion.
I watched this video bashing jinx, comparing the top to real life rapists and serial killers, which doesnt make sense to me because isnt fiction in general an escape from reality?( ̄∇ ̄")
Hmm, how to say this... I'm only talking about myself. I don't care if it's a black seme or red flag seme. I also don't mind the rough patch. But I hate one dimensional characters. A character who has nothing more to offer except for anger not even angst. There is no push-pull, only push. So YES, I find his character very bland.
