Do you prefer to read early unofficial translation, or late official translation?

Do you prefer to read early unofficial translation, or late official translation? For the sake of this question, we are counting really good translations(Asura scans for example) as official. By unofficial, I mean strange fonts, lower resolution, weird turns of phrase and mainly those colorful watermarks.
Basically if you are given the option between an extra chapter, that isn't that great, or waiting a week for something that looks nice, which do you usually pick?
