So uh is it a good time to do a semester abroad?
I just got the admission letter to do an exchange semester in Germany but I'm kinda getting second thoughts.
First, I live literally in the other side of the world, in a tropical weather zone so I don't know how to deal with the cold at all.
Second, the school there said that there's a possibility of classes still being online so idk if it will be an experience near as good as if it were in pre covid times.
Third, the embassy in my country is not making appointments to get a visa.
Fourth, going means that I'll graduate half a year behind.
However though it was always one of my dreams to make an international exchange, and this is my last year, my last chance. Maybe if there's any german otaku in here, they could give me some advice?? (● ̄(エ) ̄●)
As a German (it's 4am here):
Make sure that you will get irl classes or some kind of exchange program where you meet people.
Germany is notorious for how hard it is to befriend people (we make very little surface level friendships and are a bit cold in the beginning). Especially if you are in university you are almost dependent on getting your foot......
