Living with a roomate

First off, boundaries lay down your boundaries. Figure out how chores are going to be handled and make sure every roommate is on the same page. My advice: be upfront with shit, don't bottle things up expecting the other person to catch on to the fact that things are going south. I was also nervous for this last year, but i ended up with a nice and quite roommate. I wouldn't really call us friends as we only talked occasionally, but we coexisted really well. So well that I have nothing to complain about after the year we roomed together. Just be nice and considerate and your roommate will hopefully be the same. For my 2nd ......   reply

I rent out a room from my aunt and basically, I'm just living with family so I can't tell any roommate stories, especially with a stranger. I would get a lock for your door to ensure the stranger or their friends aren't going through your room when your not home. A door knob with a lock is reasonable.
