I’m frustrated to no end with omegaverse.

Has anyone noticed the huge influx of omegaverse lately? I swear more often than not I’ll click on something and although the premise sounds interesting the alpha and omega thing just throws me off. Like don’t get me wrong I can enjoy a good omegaverse now and again but what does any of these stories have to do with the omegaverse?! Sometimes I feel like it’s just thrown in there to create trauma or so they can show off a kid at the end. It’s honestly getting old at this point. Not to mention most the omegaverse I read end up being the same thing and don’t really bring any diversity to the genre. Like how about some more unconventional couples? Or have the omega be the top, that’s always a fun twist, the like 2 times I’ve seen it. Or I don’t know how about you don’t make the Omega fit into one of the three blueprints that are always used, and same go with the Alpha. Like if you’re gonna do a Omegaverse story at this point I feel like there needs to be some creativity. Not just an excuse for easy penetration, rape, getting the couple together faster cause oops the omega went into heat, a kid, not wanting to deal with stigma of same sex couples in dating, the all alphas are shitty so the alpha being a complete and totally dumpster fire shittness is completely valid, easy trauma, being able to avoid avoiding gender norms in same sex parenting (shit if I have to see another kid call their omega father mom one more time), etc. it’s just at this point I feel that it’s a overused plot point that rarely has any variation. All the same cookie cutter shit. Haaa, I’ve gotten to the point of not even reading something if I see anything to do with the omegaverse in the description. It just frustrates me to no end. Anyway though, if anyone had any recommendations for non-stereotypical omegaverse, I would love to see it. I’m always down for seeing new twist to the genre.
