Uncomfortable nationalism

Anyone experience uncomfortable nationalism in novels? I was reading this CN danmei and felt uncomfortable how MC praises china and Chinese people in general as moral and even describe Chinese feng shui masters doesn't have much contact with blood sacrifice since they are governed by law (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜(The evil fengshui master is from a foreign country) . I mean it's okay to be proud of their country but even I wouldn't portray my country like the government is something for the people and the rich helps poor people. Even KR novels has enemies as corrupted governments. As for JP novels it just over attachment for rice and JP food in general.

I've also seen synopsis of CN novels with themes "handing over goldfinger to the country". I wonder if those novels have exaggerated nationalism? Just reading the synopsis made me feel like it's a novel full of communism. ( ̄∇ ̄") The government is a group I wouldn't exactly would let know If I ever gained a goldenfinger.

Thats so funny, would be even funnier if an american comic pulled this shit, like say spiderman reciting the pledge of allegiance

I would usually try to ignore it as long as they don't badmouth other countries but it always feels cringe lmao

Right? It's okay to be proud of achievements of china but boasting like Chinese generally have a holy mother mentality is too much. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
