I agree, Characters have to have understandable motives. Nothing is better than being able to agree or disagree with a character, it makes them seem more human.
I also agree on pacing, it kills me how a lot of the things I read don't use their formats to effectively convey appropriate emotional timing or even comedic timing. But, I believe this is......
