REALLY CONTROVERSIAL RANT.
honestly i've been suppressing this for a long time but i feel like it's time to let it out, just can't contain it in anymore after reading the comments under " Kimi to Deattekara Boku wa".
i'm just so annoyed and irritated at some of the mangagoers and their "holier than thou" attitude, those who think they're morally better than everyone else. they hate on ppl who say " if you’re not able to differentiate between reality and fiction, why read it in the first place?" saying that kids who might read them and think shit like that would be okay to do it irl as well (eg: rape). like i could just casually write a story abt genocide, murder and all other atrocities which can be committed in this world, and WOULD PPL ACTUALLY IMITATE WHAT SOME CHARACTER IN A STORY WOULD DO??? do ppl not have a conscience, or the ability to distinguish between what's right and wrong and what is fiction remain fiction?? fiction is literally only an outlet. THERE'S A FINE LINE between fiction and reality, sure some sick fucks might think it'd be ok to cross that line and if you're one of those sick fucks- GET HELP, MY DUDE.
though i also do not completely agree w the " if you’re not able to differentiate between reality and fiction, why read it in the first place?" statement, cuz a LOT of tropes give me the ick (INCEST, PEDOPHILIA, ETC). when i don't like a certain work, i just quietly leave cuz i don't wanna disturb somebody's reading exp who likes that certain work or if HAVE to comment abt it, i just say "UGH CONTAINS ***, I'M OUT." y'all legit don't have to write whole ass essays and bitching on ppl and try to "correct" them, like bro STFU, if you don't like it, LEAVE. ain't no one's stopping you.
ALSO you're reading from an ILLEGAL website, y'all don't really have the right to speak about morals. anyways, if you think this is ragebait, up to you cuz i am DEF raging here.
Don't really know anything about the manga you're talking about but I hope posting this rant was cathartic in some ways for you.
My personal thought, I guess, is that people do have the right to talk about morals, whether they're doing something that is generally viewed immoral or not. Morality isn't universal after all. Just that. Have a great da......
