I think it is possible. Even irl it happens just think of kings/sultan and their concubines. Of course some are there for power but I'm 100% sure some ends up loving the man nv they delude themselves to be the one they truly love. Or fans stans of idols (not all of course) but in general you see multiple people developer crush and in extreme toxic ......
