The best, and only advice, really, is to practice, practice, practice.
Unfortunately, I'm not a good example, having tried to cheat my way thru cursive writing excercises when in school when this was taught.
All these years later (and that's a lot of years, btw), my handwriting -- both cursive & print -- is just atrocious.
