Did you all know that "child pornography (CP)" is now an outdated term? The new terms are "child sexual exploitation material (CSEM)" or "child sexual abuse material (CSAM)." They changed it because "child pornography" could imply that the child consented to it.
Sorry y'all but this is literally useless.
I'm all for correct terminology esp when it could hurt or misrepresent people. But this... it serves no purpose. Pornography is content made to arouse people and it doesn't imply consent at all. Personally I would even think of noncon stuff first and foremost when someone mentions porn.
I mean... CP is c...... reply
I think, the point is that children cannot legally consent, but thanks for telling I guess. Nice to know we've regressed to the point where child pornography could possibly suggest consent... and that we need a new term explicitly stating that they do not consent or cannot consent. reply
