When I read the novels I try to imagine what they would look like as real people lol. Kinda like cosplayers except their hair is real. Sometimes, if a description matches a celebrity very closely I even unintentionally imagine a celebrity in their place but most of the time I imagine story events in an irl setting.

I like to imagine them as 2d/anime characters bc its more appealing to me. A lovely illustration and a well written story is all I need to enjoy this simple pleasure in life (─‿‿─)♡
Its one of the reasons why I like reading alltogether. Dirty hands of reality are not allowed ┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

It depends for me. I usually imagine them like anime charcters, but if the novel has a movie or series adaptation (Harry Potter or Shadow and Bone for example), I'd imagine them as their real life counterparts. reply
i read webnovels/light novels so there is usually a picture of the mc (and ml). it'd be anime/manhwa styled characters haha (⌒▽⌒) also doing that in hope of manhwa adaptation, too. (imagine my surprise when s-class that i raised first got its manhwa adaptation? i almost cried)
if it's physical novel, or if i'm just lazy, i'd imagine a facele...... reply
