Learn and memorize all of the hiragana and katakana (both) characters first. Best way to memorize is to get the names of your favorite things or places, and write them down. I memorized characters like maま and fuふ because I liked mafumafu back when I was still in N5 japanese. After that, you can then memorize all of the vocabulary from N5. Mem......   3 reply

Yes Kanji is tough but not actually that tricky if you know the figure and it's meaning suppose take 山 (やま) mountain kanji it has two readings Oniyomi (chinese reading) and Kuniyomi (Japanese reading) the Chinese reading is:- san サン And Kuniyomi Japanese reading is :- yama やま But when you use it in sentence suppose take a Japanese ......   1 reply

hello im also learning kanji and i think u shouldnt learn word by word if ur a beginner level then try to find japanese children media (storybooks,tv shows,etc) with furigana to immerse it slowly then move on to higher grade ones its also important to learn from kanji books that has example of any word in conversation, scenario, passage make kanji......   2 reply

I was the same way I learned hiragana first since it seemed easier but I felt I want getting anywhere since all the other websites or YouTube videos Were telling me one thing and then something else when I searched it up.
