I zont get it

as someone whos been on this site since 2019 (created an account 2021) ive seen waves of opinions and users here and i remember the amount of hate yarichan bitch club used to receive. I never read it but it was because they were sexualising highschoolers (i am told), but the same people who hate on YBC turn around and read yaoi that is set in high school so that never made sense to me??
