sprained my ankle in a game but continued playing bc the pain was so good
i'm a basketball player and i've sprained my ankle in a game once. of course, it hurt like shit, like i was even tearing up, but i continued playing, both because i didn't want to get benched and -oh my god- the pain felt so good, so i just continued playing and running with a whole-ass sprained ankle. after a few days while my ankle was still healing, i kept doing stuff to it (bending, pressing, etc.) so i could feel the pain again. up to this day i still miss the feeling of a sprained ankle because, jesus, it felt really good, the pain was that good. (that game happened back in january/february 2020) so... am i a masochist or a weirdo??
