From an early age I could say that I was exposed to many anime since many friends and cousins of mine would watch it : Detective Conan, Dragon ball, hunterxhunte etc but I wasn’t necessarily hooked. I avoided anime when it first began to be broadcast in the US. Not only was I in my late teens but what episodes (of who knows what) I accidentally caught seemed to consist of two guys talking smack for five minutes while they 'powered up'. So boring.
