From an early age I could say that I was exposed to many anime since many friends and cousins of mine would watch it : Detective Conan, Dragon ball, hunterxhunte etc but I wasn’t necessarily hooked. I avoided anime when it first began to be broadcast in the US. Not only was I in my late teens but what episodes (of who knows what) I accidentally caught seemed to consist of two guys talking smack for five minutes while they 'powered up'. So boring. I'd say the first anime I actually followed was, of course, Pokémon which I watched with my b......   reply

The ever first manga I was exposed to was given by my Dad. I forgot what it was called, but my Dad didn't even check if it was okay for me. I was pretty much 8 or 9 when I saw a loli's uncensored chest. Darn it dad- The first anime I saw was probably Diabolik Lovers. If you don't count Pokemon that is.   2 reply

My first anime that I saw was Kimi Ni Todoke followed by Black Butler & yeah, that's definitely impacted my anime/manga choices since my two favorite genres to read/watch are romance and supernatural horror (⌒▽⌒)   reply
