I agree with Koanda. Write stories that YOU want to read. Remember that before anyone else sees your work, YOU are your first audience. You are the most important reader.
The faster you understand this, the easier it will be for you. Especially if you're writing for passion nowadays. Otherwise, you will be absolutely miserable trying to write about stories and characters you do not like.
Dont mind me sharing my gay ideas.
Gl- between a kpop idol and a company recruiter. Recruiter gives this cute girl her company's card and the future idol joins cuz just she thought I'd meant she could see the cute recruiter more. The trainee keeps trying to find ways to talk to the recruiter; slowly they fall in love ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Yes this might be based off a real story/rumor lol
wait who is this based on i need the detailsssss
Itzy ryujin is said to have joined jyp bcuz she found the female recruiter cute
Think of the stories you love, and try to understand why you enjoy them and how it works. See what kind of stories you want more of (like your favorite trope), and write a story about that.
Personally, I write stories that I wanted to read when growing up. There are tropes that I love but can’t find enough (good) stories about them, so I write it myself. So I check what stories I like, mix them up and write my own in the same vibe.
Also, it helps when you love your characters. Cause once they exist you just have to tell their story in their entirety, else it feels like an injustice that no one knows about their life.
Also the music you listen to when writing can greatly influence the mood of what you write. So don’t hesitate to make a light hearted playlist if that is what you are aiming for.
Last advice, start short, expend later. You don’t have the time to get bored with a short story. And If you feel the need to expend it means it’s interesting for you.
