Why do people who read Yaoi with literally mafia bosses and demons, or even the devil himself as ml get shocked when they r*pe the mc. Like, they kill people without thinking twice, and you think they wouldn't r*pe someone?
And then y'all get mad at the authors, saying that they are psychopaths and shit.
I ain't pro r*pe but if the character is already shown as a bad character from the start, I will not be shocked if he does that too.

nobodies shocked, just disappointed. Everyones more or less desensitized to murder due to tv shows and games, rape is just too real and more of a reality than fictional murders. Hope that explains it 2 reply

Because it's sickening, even if it's fictional, that rape is romanticized (in some mangas, actually in a lot of mangas). We know it's fictional and it's all based on the author's ideas and whatnot, it's just that when rape is shown in a romance setting and uses rape as a way for two characters to build connection is just crazy. The only thing I wanted to address is that your question is built around faulty logic. You can’t compare the acts of murder and rape. Someone who kills will not necessarily rape and someone that rapes people doesn’t necessarily kill anyone. They’re two psychologically different criminal mindsets. It's more the issue that rape is usually romanticized and alot more personal. Usually a murder is seen as a bad thing in manga but rape? Especially in yaoi? Because rape is personal towards the mc. Murder etc is something he's doing to other people, not the mc.
