As long as you know the difference between real life and fiction, it's fine to read literally anything in the romace genre. People hate it because gay men are fetishized so much, if you're not doing that then you're are just reading ur perference. reply
I mostly read BL, and so do a lot of my friends. I’ve always liked romance and BL just happens to have the most interesting plots. I don’t rly get what the hate towards ppl who read bl is. Like they’re just two characters, regardless of gender, who go through ups and downs, are we not allowed to enjoy that?

personally doesn’t make that huge a difference to me… i feel like the whole “gay man obsessed, fetishizer with heteronormative lens” that people push onto BL readers is a heavily overblown and exaggerated narrative that paints readers in an extremely poor light (though i haven’t really been super involved with their communities, ive known...... 2 reply
