everyone already read them and they're completed, or the majority of people have already read them. also jp has a slower update schedule than manhwa sometimes. manhwa is weekly pretty often, but some jp are released in volumes so it takes more time for them to get out. it could also be that jp doesn't have the tropes that people like jp isn't co......   reply

I love mangas but a story that gets an update once a month really just cannot compare to something that often starts out with a mass release of 20 chapters (if we’re talking kkp manhwas) and then one new chapter every WEEK (and maintains high quality). I think people are missing the fact that a LOT of the manhwa that gets posted here is already available on an official platform in english. takes a lot longer to translate/clean/typeset a thirty page chapter of manga than it does to download a few images and reupload them. Cause I’ve been reading mangas all my life and they’re really easy to get your hands on I have atleast 5 other sites with any mangas or anime I want but Korean manhwa have less sites where you can freely get them so I feel like it’s that for me   reply

manhwa is colorful and updates frequently so its more attractive. i do enjoy manhwas, they have their charm, but nothing beats manga for me. the world building, the creativity and flexibility of the panel placements, the expressions, the art styles, the character writing...manhwa just doesn't compare.   reply

Their format doesn’t translate well into mobile because it’s not MADE for mobile consumption. Formatting that is godly on paper will look like squished clutterdness on our tiny phone screens.
