Mangago ratings

Do you trust the ratings on Mangago? I typically tend to avoid reading anything less than 9.3 but considering how some bl full of rape is sometimes rated 9.4 it makes me question as to whether I’m missing out on good stories that have unfairly been rated lower. And I hate how people say this site is full of pedos and weirdos but I think to an extent it holds true(especially when it comes to rating). Yeah. Im just yapping now.

Ratings are a terrible way to choose something to read. It's so arbitrary. For example, a lot of one shots get rated lower because people hate that there's only one chapter. It's better to read reviews rather than go off of ratings. At least that way, you know why people do or don't like the story and decide if the "negatives" are deal-breakers for...... 3 reply

I don't trust them at all. Most stuff has a rating of 9+ on here and it's still trash. Even lower ratings don't mean anything as it's often darker stories or without smut. reply

i never ever ever trust ratings!! i always look through the comments, summary, and album picture(idk the name) before decide to read something. ratings are either so high for the worst stories, or low for really good ones. either way, people’s tastes are different!, so don’t shy away from a story just based on a number (but obviously sometim...... 2 reply

I hardly look at the rating because of that. Some stories get good ratings because of the art and/or smut rather than the plot. What I noticed is that if a story has a lot of three-star ratings, then it is pretty meh. I think that's about as far as you can trust the rating system. reply

Absolutely not - some of the most cursed things I've witnessed have over a 9. I prefer to look at comments and see if the readers are pissed off or generally happy, but even that's not super reliable. reply
