Its not a permanent piercing and once you remove the actual piercing piece itll close up within 2 months (for older piercings, younger ones close up even faster). If anything you should try to get it but dont be surprised if they say you dont have the piercing "sweet spot" because not everybody has the right vein or nerve placement in their tongue ......
