Hi, so I have a question about grammar. In my native language it's considered rude to say "I and my friend" or "me and my friend" as in putting yourself before the friend. Is it that way in English too? English class didn't teach us about that and I have no idea how to find this in the internet so please help a girl out here!!
No, it isn't considered offensive. It's grammatically improper as it's supposed to be "My friend and I." but no one really follows that grammar rule and no one really cares unless there's a teacher who's a real stickler. 1 reply
