Not really-(Unpopular PERSONAL opinions)
What webtoon/comic/manhwa/manhua/manga/etc did people say was deep or inspiring but you just had to look at like what is was and say it wasn't all that (overhyped/analysed)
For me it was Nigoru Hitomi de Nani wo Negau - Highserk Senki, like I got the recommendation from a youtube vid practically bragging it up(boasting), like ppl do to Vagabond, Vinland Saga etc, but I read this shit myself and it wasn't all that, and the vid talked about it like it had some really good philosophical elements to it but I wasn't impressed, also the vid claimed it had no superpowers and the mc was regular but by the time I read it there were 16 chaps(still now) and like maybe the vid was made when it was in early 1st 2nd 3rd chaps but like well who cares the mc still got a plot armour even though it's not going the cliche route but it still didn't add to the plot like...... yea we get to now see ppl talk about how impressive he is but like what else? It kinda made me shit on the ppl who try to make everything Zen and raw, like are we reading the same thing TF?????? Like stop trying to fit Maslow's hierarchy of needs into everything, this isn't American Beauty or Falling Down
I personally feel like what one finds deep may not be someone else's cup of tea
Like that's applicable to other literature as well. Some may find Crime and Punishment or Kafka's writings to be touching, while others may treat it as just another commonplace literature
However I don't think that gives one the right to bash others for finding somethi......
