Parents and apologizing

Do your parents apologize? Apparently only white parents say sorry, idk I was talking to some of my friends who aren’t white the other day and apparently their parents have never uttered the word sorry out of their mouth, kinda weird to me cause whenever I argue with my parents a few hours will go by and we’ll apologize to one another. And if they don’t apologize what do they do? do you guys just go back to normal after a few hours? isn’t that really awkward ?

my parents are white but never apologize, I always had to apologize to my mom even when it was her fault - she doesn't know what to do after she fucked up so she plays victim even if it's ridiculous. dad just pretends he never did anything and carries on like nothing happened. My mom never apologise unless I tell her to say so, after any argument a few hours go by and everything’s fine like it never happened. She is white, I am white. So I feel like it’s a POC- and mentally ill parents thing (I don’t say all poc parents are like this before anyone comes for me) 2 reply

idk if this count as white but my mom is armenian and she has NEVER ever said sorry. although she used to beat me up, she still curse at me and try to literally break my bedrooms door when i lock myself cuz she screams at me for nun. I know she’s mentally instable but even when she tries to communicate with me and be a good mother she won’t say...... 2 reply

Depends, my mom would apologize while my dad would just be normal after an hour or so. Most of the time they don’t know what they’ve done wrong so telling them what they did wrong could help them be aware of it and apologizes reply
