The best series is Mononoke from 2007 by Toei Animation. 12 episodes, each short. It technically starts with the Bake Neko arc (3 episodes) found in Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales. The last episodes of Mononoke are also called Bake Neko, but are different from Ayakashi's arc. I LOVEEEEEEE it.
