What’s worse? Unrequited love or unable to love?

Unrequited love. It will hurt you more than it hurts the other person. It’s the opposite for “being unable to love.” It will hurt the other more than it hurts you- that’s IF you decide to tell them, or they have feelings towards you. For some, it might be difficult to choose. Both would be painful. But, I'd still say being unable to love is just way worse. Unrequited love is sad, but someday, there would be someone out there to care for you. It might take years, or even decades, but I'm sure there will be someone. But unable to love? I think unrequited love is worse because you can feel the pain of not being loved back, and not being able to do much to change the situation. When you're unable to love it hurts others, but it doesn't really hurt you.   1 reply

I think being unable to love anyone at all is much worse than unrequited love. Unrequited love means being happy although that someone doesn't reciprocate the feelings you have for them. I would say unable to love. It's my situation. I'm 22 and never fell in love. You end up wondering if you are normal. If you will ever find love. I'd say unable to love. I had unrequited love before, but you get over it, eventually. However, when I was (for years!) pretty much stripped of emotions, unable to love or feel anything really, that sucked. A lot. Like I felt guilty, but I couldn't FEEL it.
