Might be cuz they bigger usually (in all aspects) and most ppl find big=scary (atleast in asia), something i have noticed alot in all mangas (if a character is big they scary). Also Asian countries have toxic beauty standards and its fuckin insane how deeply it be ingrained.

lol im also sort of asain and i used to be insecure about my brown skin lol for years when i was like 10 to 16 i triend countless amounts of skin lightening home remedies lol most never work and its alot of effort to do them lol but now i just dont really give a crp i just stay out of the sun and now im like olive ish lol

It's the colorism, i get it cuz theres lots of it in the black latin American community and families, it sucks but that's just what white supremacy did to our coltures (and also classism since dark skin in asian cultures is seen as a sign of poverty)

British colonialism fucked everyone up except themselves, they got industrialisation and urbanization but everyone else got deindustrialised and de-urbanised due to em
Alot of cultures will never be the same anymore due to the intervention of the west but u cant do anything now
