Anyone one else get very depressed during periods?

It's so bad for me all i have eaten since yesterday is an orange (it's 5:00pm now). I start getting such suicidal thoughts and cry sm. The worst i have done during periods is literally self harm. There's nothing I can do about it. It's just always happens plus I get so painful cramps
I used to be like that but I started hormone blockers (I'm trans) so I stopped having periods
This is the first time I'm hearing about this being unusual (from the other replies)
I'm also really mentally unstable so the periods made it worse reply
