How did you tell your parent you liked yaoi/yuri

Why would you feel the need to tell them at all? I know some people on here treat being a fujo/fudan as if it’s a sexuality and you need to come out or whatever, but why the heck would you tell your parents about it. If they find out, they find out, but if you’re careful they won’t. It’s like telling your parents your porn preferences... you just don’t... that doesn’t make sense to me.
If they find out, they’ll probably be unhappy no matter what because yaoi is pretty explicit and most of y’all on here are pretty young. But it’s nkt really any of their business anyways so don’t worry about it.
