I read this biography about Roman Von Ungern-Sternberg, otherwise known as the Bloody Baron, a German born warlord with a rabid hatred of communists during the Russian civil war leading an army of Central Asians with the dream of becoming a second Genghis Khan and conquering Mongolia in the process. All this in the single year of 1921.
