It's not a hot or cold take, but lukewarm. For example: harada makes mediocre stories carried by decent art and shock factor, authors like Asada or Akabeko cover similar ground but with actual substance behind the distracting shock.
Alot of authors/artists make a character extremely toxic JUST to cover up the fact they have terrible plot writing skills (also so people can hate it and thus give it popularity) 1 reply
