Im gonna be the devils' advocate here but i started pretty young at like around 11 and consistently read yaoi for years (i've graduated hs btw) and i don't think yaoi has negatively affected me honestly. Just make sure you know the differences between reality vs fiction. The importance of consent irl etc, because rape and such are glorified in yaoi......
